Tim Roth always gives a certain security. If you add a frame style Cold Case (a couple of surveys to be resolved by episode, finale music etc..), An omniscient player (Cal Lightman) type Grissom of CSI or if you prefer, Gideon of Criminal Mind , and a minimum of irony that is lacking in this genre, the series here (almost) perfect! Lie to me.
"Almost" because they still have not seen the fallibility of the hero or the method it uses. Dr. Cal Lightman is an expert analyst of human behavior, able to understand if those who is in front of the mind or telling the truth, based on the observation of involuntary movements of the face and body. Lightman worked as a consultant for various agencies and private, which provides his talents and those of its employees. The lie is revealed and the truth always comes out on the surface ... even when it would be best to leave it hidden!
